Actress From Hit Police Drama Arrested At Entertainment Outlet, Tests Positive For Three Drugs

A Malaysian actress known for starring in a popular police drama was arrested during a police raid at an entertainment outlet in Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur, early Tuesday morning.

The operation, carried out under Op Noda, was conducted at around 3.15am by the D7 Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division of the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK), together with officers from the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters (IPD).

According to a source, the 40-year-old actress, who had also appeared in a televised singing reality competition, was found inside a VIP room with several other individuals when officers entered the premises.

Preliminary urine screening allegedly returned positive results for amphetamine, methamphetamine and ketamine. Investigators also discovered that the entertainment outlet was unable to produce a valid business licence during the inspection.

The raid resulted in the arrest of 14 people, including the premises caretaker, seven men and six women. Authorities were also informed that some of those detained have previous criminal records, while others are allegedly wanted by the police.

Police further found that the premises was selling alcoholic beverages without a valid licence. All those arrested were taken to the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters for further investigation.

Earlier, Dang Wangi District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Sazalee Adam confirmed the actress’s arrest, saying only that the case remains under investigation.
