Bound Body Found Near Railway Tracks in Kalumpang, Police Suspect Murder

Date:

The body of a man, with his hands and feet bound, was discovered near a railway track in Sungai Serian, Kalumpang earlier today. A member of the public made the grim find around 10:30 a.m.

Hulu Selangor police chief Supt Ibrahim Husin said initial investigations indicate the victim may have been dumped from the Kampung Sungai Serian bridge, which is about 11.15 metres high. “Forensics revealed that the victim’s hands and feet were tied, and his head was wrapped in cloth secured with black and white adhesive tape,” he said in a statement.

The victim is believed to have been dead for more than four days, as the body was already in a state of decomposition. No identification documents were found on the body, which has been sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Police are investigating the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward by contacting the nearest police station or reaching out to Investigating Officer Insp Mohamad Fadli Abdul Aziz at 03-6064 1222.
