Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) issued 20 compounds during a joint enforcement operation targeting heavy vehicles that failed to comply with road cleanliness and safety regulations.
The Integrated Clean Operation Series 5/2026 was carried out along Jalan Kuching on Wednesday in collaboration with the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and the Department of Environment (DOE).
DBKL said the operation aimed to ensure road cleanliness, public safety and traffic order remained well managed, particularly involving vehicles transporting construction materials and other heavy loads.
A total of 80 vehicles were inspected during the operation, with enforcement officers taking action against those found breaching regulations.
Among the offences detected were operating without a valid permit to transport construction materials, failing to properly cover loaded vehicles, and not maintaining vehicle cleanliness while using public roads.
DBKL issued 20 compounds under the Transport of Materials (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) By-Laws 1997 for the various offences.
Meanwhile, JPJ issued 15 compounds, while the DOE served seven notices for offences under their respective laws during the integrated enforcement exercise.
Authorities said such operations will continue to improve compliance among heavy vehicle operators while ensuring cleaner and safer roads for all road users.
