Two vehicles were damaged after a tree fell and crashed onto them within the grounds of a secondary school in Lorong Maarof 1, Bangsar, earlier today.
The incident, which occurred at about 12.13pm, fortunately did not involve any injuries, according to authorities.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre said they received an emergency call before deploying firefighters from the Pantai Fire and Rescue Station, with assistance from the Seputeh station, to the scene.
Upon arrival, responders found a fallen tree had landed on two parked cars inside the school compound, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
Firefighters carried out clearing operations with the help of a shovel machine provided by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to remove the debris and ensure the area was safe.
Authorities have not reported any further incidents, and the situation was brought under control following the removal of the fallen tree.
