Police have opened an investigation after a foreign female tourist allegedly claimed she was assaulted by a married couple at the lobby of a residence in Bukit Bintang on Wednesday.
Dang Wangi acting police chief Superintendent Nuzulan Mohd Din said police received a report regarding the incident at about 8.29pm.
“A foreign female tourist claimed that a quarrel occurred and that she was assaulted by a married couple. An investigation paper has been opened under Section 323 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement.
Police are conducting further investigations to determine the actual cause of the incident.
