Woman Tests Positive For Ketamine After Allegedly Attacking Police Officer With Knife

Date:

A local woman in her early 20s was arrested after allegedly attacking a police officer with a knife during an arrest operation in Chan Sow Lin on Sept 10.

Cheras district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rosdi Daud said police received a report on the incident at about 3.45pm.

He said the woman became aggressive while officers were carrying out the arrest before allegedly grabbing a knife and attacking an officer on duty.

“Further checks found that the suspect had no previous record. An initial urine screening also tested positive for ketamine,” he said in a statement today.

Mohd Rosdi said the woman was remanded for four days to assist with investigations and was brought before the court on Sept 14.

She was charged under Sections 324 and 186 of the Penal Code, he said.
