Four men have been arrested after a viral video captured a chaotic brawl involving several individuals and a car driver at a supermarket parking area in Pekan Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam.
The video shows three men repeatedly striking a car’s windows and body — at one point using a mop handle — while the driver is seen reversing and then accelerating forward to escape, crashing into and damaging two nearby vehicles.
The confrontation escalated further when the car rammed into another man before becoming stuck on the pavement in front of the supermarket. Despite this, the three men continued to demand that the driver exit the vehicle, pointing wooden sticks at him.
A woman in the video can be heard claiming that the altercation began because the driver was suspected of stealing her father’s car.
Sabak Bernam district police chief Superintendent Md Yusof Ahmad confirmed a police report has been lodged. The four men were detained to assist investigations under Sections 148 and 279 of the Penal Code for rioting while armed with a weapon, and for rash or negligent driving that endangers lives.
