Four men are believed to have died in a crash involving 12 motorcycles, two cars and a bus along the Meru-bound road towards Bercham at about 3am on Saturday.
According to a source, the accident involved a group of individuals believed to have been taking part in an illegal street racing activity along the road.
“The incident occurred when a group of racers crashed into the back of a bus, before another group of racers was involved in a separate collision.
“Two cars were also involved in the crash shortly afterwards,” the source said.
The incident later went viral on social media, with initial reports claiming that two men had been killed.
The number of fatalities was subsequently reported to have risen to four.
