The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting several areas across nine states until 3pm today.
In a statement, MetMalaysia said the affected areas include Bandar Baharu and Kulim in Kedah, as well as the whole of Penang.
In Perak, the warning covers Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Muallim, Kinta, Kampar and Batang Padang.
The affected areas in Terengganu are Kemaman and Dungun, while in Pahang, they include Bentong, Jerantut, Kuantan, Maran, Rompin, Pekan, Raub, Cameron Highlands and Lipis.
In Selangor, the warning covers Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat, while in Negeri Sembilan, it affects Seremban and Jelebu.
In Johor, the areas under the warning are Pontian, Kota Tinggi, Kulai, Mersing, Segamat and Johor Bahru.
Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the affected areas include Kabong and Saratok in Betong, as well as Sibu, Song in Kapit, Sarikei and Mukah.
