Shuttle Selatan and Electric Train Service (ETS) operations along the Kulai-Kempas route experienced delays on Wednesday after a power supply disruption caused by an accident involving a lorry carrying flammable liquid.
In a statement posted on its Facebook page, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) said the incident affected train services on the affected stretch, while clean-up operations and electricity restoration works were being carried out at the scene.
To minimise inconvenience, KTMB said replacement bus services have been arranged for affected ETS passengers at Kulai Station, Kempas Baru Station and JB Sentral.
Passengers travelling on Shuttle Selatan services have meanwhile been advised to use alternative modes of transport, with fare differences to be refunded to those impacted by the disruption.
As of 10.37pm, KTMB reported that ETS9449 was running 32 minutes behind schedule, while ETS9533 was delayed by 55 minutes. The rail operator noted that train delays could continue to change depending on operational conditions.
KTMB apologised for the inconvenience caused and urged affected passengers to seek assistance from station personnel if they required further information or support as restoration efforts continued.
