Man Caught Relaxing on Moving Car Roof in Thailand Goes Viral

Date:

A tourist drew widespread attention after being filmed lying prone on the roof of an SUV while stuck in traffic in Thailand, reports Thaiger.

The incident took place yesterday in Pa Tong, Phuket.

A video uploaded to Facebook shows the man lying face down on the roof of the slowly moving vehicle along a busy road. Despite being surrounded by other motorists and pedestrians, he appeared relaxed, casually using his mobile phone.

Shortly after, he climbed back into the car without incident, according to Amarin TV. The SUV was reportedly carrying several other passengers, believed to be his friends.

The footage quickly went viral, with many social media users criticising the stunt as extremely dangerous and potentially damaging to Phuket’s image as a tourist destination.

“One slip, and no one will feel sorry for him. Serves him right,” commented one netizen.
