A software engineer tragically died after being bitten by a venomous snake that was believed to be hiding inside his footwear.
The incident occurred on Saturday when 41-year-old Manju Prakash reportedly suffered the bite as he slipped his foot into a Crocs sandal left outside his home in Ranganatha Layout, near Bengaluru.
Prakash had previously experienced an accident that resulted in a loss of sensation in his feet, preventing him from noticing the snake bite.
A family member spotted the reptile inside the sandal and quickly informed Prakash’s father. Meanwhile, his mother discovered him lying motionless on the bed, foam coming from his mouth and signs of bleeding on his foot.
He was rushed to a nearby private hospital but was pronounced dead.
