A man in Malaysia has lodged a police report after waking up naked and in pain, believing he may have been sexually assaulted while unconscious following a drinking session with colleagues.
According to local reports, the incident occurred at a longhouse along Jalan Bakun in Bintulu, Sarawak, at about 11pm on March 31.
The man, in his 20s, had been consuming alcohol with three colleagues from around 9pm before he became heavily intoxicated. Reports indicate that he was repeatedly encouraged to drink until he was no longer able to continue.
He later went to rest in a room near the kitchen.
About two hours later, he regained consciousness and found himself naked and experiencing pain in his lower body. He then suspected that he may have been assaulted while he was asleep or unconscious.
He also noticed that the three colleagues he had been drinking with were no longer at the longhouse.
The man subsequently went to a police station to lodge a report and requested a full investigation into the incident, as well as medical examination and treatment.
Police have since confirmed that investigations are underway.
