Man Found Dead Inside Locked Ipoh Home

A 65-year-old man was found dead inside his home at Jalan Ketoyong 2 here this morning.

The victim, identified as Lim Seck Chin, was discovered at about 8.17am after firefighters were called to the residence.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the house was still locked when firefighters arrived, while there was no response from the occupant.

Firefighters then used specialised equipment to gain entry into the house.

Once inside, a public health officer examined the man before confirming that he had died at the scene.

The victim’s remains were subsequently handed over to the police for further action.

The circumstances surrounding the man’s death have yet to be disclosed, with the authorities expected to conduct further investigations.
