Man Found Dead Inside Locked Toyota Alphard In Bidor

Date:

A man in his 20s was found dead inside a Toyota Alphard parked behind a home hardware retailer in Bidor Sentral at around 8.56pm yesterday.

Tapah District Police Chief Superintendent Abdul Malik Hasim said police were alerted after the black MPV was found with its engine and air-conditioning still running, while all the windows were tightly shut and the doors locked.

He said firefighters were called to the scene and managed to open the vehicle. Police subsequently found a local man in his 20s lying unconscious on the rear passenger seat.

A search of the vehicle also uncovered an aluminium container containing burnt charcoal.

The victim was removed from the vehicle before his body was taken to the Tapah Hospital Forensic Unit for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Abdul Malik confirmed that preliminary investigations found no criminal element in the incident.
