Masked Duo Escape With RM120,000 In Five-Minute House Break-In In Mantin

Date:

Two masked men brazenly broke into a house in Taman Permai Jaya, Mantin, making off with valuables worth an estimated RM120,000 in a swift five-minute burglary last Friday.

Nilai District Police Chief Superintendent Johari Yahya said the incident was discovered by a local woman in her 40s when she returned home at about 1.56pm, only to find her residence had been ransacked.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the break-in occurred around 12.05pm while the house was unoccupied. The victim only realised something was wrong upon arriving home.

Police said the suspects fled with jewellery, important documents, and cash after forcing entry into the property.

CCTV footage showed a white Honda City Hatchback stopping in front of the house before two masked men exited the vehicle and entered the premises.

The suspects, who were not wearing gloves, were seen quickly exiting the house within about five minutes, carrying a bag believed to contain stolen items.

Authorities also confirmed that the vehicle’s registration number was fake and linked to a company based in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Checks at the scene found that the house’s grill door had been forcibly pried open, while two bedrooms were thoroughly searched.

Forensic teams collected fingerprint samples and DNA swabs from the scene to assist investigations, with the case being probed under Section 457 of the Penal Code for housebreaking and theft.
