Massive Blaze Engulfs 10 Homes In Kota Bharu Village

A total of 10 semi-detached houses were destroyed in a fire that broke out at Kampung Cina on Monday afternoon, with no casualties reported in the incident.

The blaze, which occurred at about 12.34pm, prompted an immediate emergency response after firefighters received an alert and were rushed to the scene.

Kota Bharu Fire and Rescue Station chief, Assistant Fire Superintendent II Zuzuki Shafei, said firefighters from Kota Bharu and Kota Darul Naim stations were deployed to carry out firefighting operations.

A total of 20 firefighters, supported by five fire engines including Fire Rescue Tender (FRT), Light Fire Rescue Tender (LFRT) and water tankers, were mobilised to contain the fire.

Authorities confirmed that all affected homes were semi-permanent structures, and no victims were found inside the premises during initial assessments.

Firefighting and control operations were still ongoing at the time of reporting, while investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire and total losses.
