MetMalaysia has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong wind warning covering almost all states and Kuala Lumpur until 9pm today.
In an update issued at 4.35pm, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said the severe weather is expected across Perlis, Penang, Perak and Kuala Lumpur.
In Kedah, the affected areas include Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu, while in Kelantan it involves only Gua Musang.
For Pahang, the warning covers Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Bera and Rompin, while in Selangor it includes Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat.
In Negeri Sembilan, the affected districts are Jelebu, Jempol and Tampin, while in Melaka it involves Jasin and several districts in Johor, including Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru.
In Sarawak, the areas expected to be affected include Sebauh (Bintulu), Beluru, Telang Usan, Miri and Marudi (Miri), as well as the entire Limbang division.
In Sabah, the warning covers the Interior and West Coast divisions, along with Tongod and Telupid (Sandakan) and Kota Marudu (Kudat).
