A Malaysian woman has drawn widespread backlash online after mocking a newlywed couple for using a Perodua Bezza as their wedding car, claiming it looked too cheap for the occasion.
In a post on Threads, the woman shared a photo of a blue Bezza decorated with a large red-and-white ribbon, indicating that it had been used for a wedding.
Rather than congratulating the couple, she questioned their choice of vehicle and suggested they should have opted for something more luxurious.
“Using a Bezza as a wedding car? Seriously?! I’d be so embarrassed as it’d look very B40. At least a Mazda or BMW would do,” she wrote.
She also shared a photo of the newlyweds and sarcastically questioned why they had not rented a luxury car despite apparently being able to afford a lavish wedding.
Her remarks quickly backfired, with netizens criticising her for looking down on the couple’s choice of wedding vehicle.
One commenter bluntly wrote, “No wonder you’re still unmarried.”
Another pointed out that the couple’s choice of car was none of her business.
A third took a more sarcastic approach by sharing a photo of a hearse and asking, “Would you like to have this Mazda vehicle?”
The incident sparked online discussion, with many taking issue with the woman’s apparent fixation on the couple’s choice of car for their big day.
