The Network School premises at Forest City, Johor, has ceased operations after the business licence of NSO Malaysia Sdn Bhd was revoked by the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP), effective yesterday.
A visit to the location today found the premises empty, with a notice informing the temporary closure of the building displayed at the main entrance.
The signboard bearing the Network School name, which was previously placed at the entrance, has also been removed, indicating that activities at the premises have been halted.
Although the premises are no longer open to visitors, several security personnel were still seen stationed at the area to monitor the situation and prevent any untoward incidents.
MBIP announced the cancellation of NSO Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s business licence and ordered all company activities to stop from July 22 after the operator was found to have breached several licensing requirements.
The Johor government said the decision was made following a special full council meeting by MBIP, which found that the company had failed to comply with conditions imposed under the business licence issued by the local authority.
Among the violations identified were operating the premises without a valid licence and failing to adhere to the approved conditions for the use of the premises.
Previously, Network School attracted attention after allegations linked the institution to foreign individuals and networks, prompting several agencies to conduct investigations involving licensing, immigration matters and legal compliance.
The management of Network School had earlier stated its commitment to cooperate fully with authorities and would take appropriate action through legal channels if necessary.
The state government reiterated that it would not compromise with any party that violates laws or licensing requirements, while reminding all business operators to comply with existing regulations.
