OKU Woman Found Safe After Nearly 24-Hour Search Operation

A 37-year-old woman with disabilities who was reported missing while tapping rubber in Kampung Lubok Simpol, Seri Rahmat, was found safe after nearly 24 hours of search and rescue (SAR) operations.

The victim, identified as Mazlina Abdullah, was discovered at about 11.15am on Monday by SAR teams roughly 500 metres from her home.

The Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call at 8.53am before deploying a team of seven personnel to the scene.

Initial reports indicated that the woman had gone to a rubber plantation with three other individuals on Sunday morning but failed to return home, prompting concern among family members.

Authorities confirmed that SAR operations began shortly after arrival at the location, with assistance from other agencies and local villagers.

The woman was eventually located safe and in stable condition before being sent to Hospital Sultan Ismail Petra for further medical checks.

The search operation, which began in the morning, was officially concluded at 11.30am after the victim was safely rescued.
