Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman, was injured while overseeing the situation during a building evacuation operation at several homes in Kampung Sungai Baru today.
The operation followed a court order to demolish structures in the area and was reportedly led by court bailiffs in collaboration with several relevant agencies.
Sulizmie was seen with a head injury and bleeding. Police on duty also instructed gathered residents to disperse.
A survey by Harian Metro at the scene found the situation remained tense, with residents refusing to leave and continuing to demand access to the area.
