“RM250 For ‘Special Massage’: 7 Reflexology Outlets Busted In Massive Immigration Raid”

Date:

Seven reflexology centres in the Klang Valley were raided today by the Immigration Department for allegedly offering “immoral services” by foreign women.

Basri Othman, director of the department’s Operations Division, said the coordinated operation — codenamed Ops Gegar — led to the arrest of 86 foreigners, including 76 women aged between 21 and 32.

The raids, which began simultaneously at 5 pm in Kuala Lumpur, Seri Kembangan and Kajang, followed two weeks of surveillance and public complaints about the outlets.

“Intelligence showed these premises were running immoral activities as a sideline to massage services, charging between RM200 and RM250 per session,” Basri told reporters at one of the raid locations.

Most of the customers were foreigners, although some Malaysians were also found using the services, he added.

Those detained comprised 38 Thais, 21 Indonesians, 13 Myanmar nationals, eight Vietnamese, four Cambodians and two others of different nationalities.

“They were arrested for not having valid documents, overstaying, or misusing their passes under Rule 39(b) of the Immigration Regulations 1963,” Basri said, adding that investigations are being carried out under Sections 6(1)(c) and 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.
