Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain And Strong Winds Expected In Four States Until 4pm

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for four states this afternoon, with heavy rain and strong winds expected until 4pm today.

In a statement, MetMalaysia said thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds were forecast in parts of Pahang, involving Kuantan and Pekan.

Similar weather conditions were also expected in Johor, particularly Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian and Kulai.

In Sarawak, the warning covers Bintulu (Tatau), Mukah (Mukah) and Sibu (Selangau).

Meanwhile, several areas in Sabah are also under the thunderstorm warning, including Tawau (Semporna, Tawau, Kunak and Kalabakan), the Interior (Pensiangan, Beaufort, Kuala Penyu, Membakut, Keningau, Tambunan, Tenom and Sook), the West Coast, Kudat (Kota Marudu), and Sandakan (Paitan, Telupid and Tongod).

MetMalaysia said thunderstorms and strong winds were also expected to affect the Federal Territory of Labuan.
