Two warehouses storing agricultural chemicals in Jalan Raja Arfah, Segambut, were damaged in a fire that broke out early this morning.
The first warehouse, covering about 743 square metres, suffered approximately 90 per cent damage, while the second warehouse, measuring 594 square metres, sustained around 30 per cent damage.
The City Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre said it received an emergency call at about 3.54am through the NG999 emergency line.
Firefighters from the Sentul Fire and Rescue Station were immediately deployed, with support from crews based at Jinjang, Jalan Hang Tuah, Jalan Tun Razak and Sri Hartamas.
Upon reaching the location, the operations commander confirmed that flames had engulfed two warehouses used to store agricultural products and chemicals.
The first premises was reportedly used to store calcium sulphate pesticide, while the second contained fertiliser.
Despite the extent of the damage, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to surrounding premises, while the affected structures were assessed following the operation.
The cause of the fire has yet to be established and remains under investigation by the Fire Investigation Unit.
