National badminton player Lee Zii Jia has amicably resolved a dispute over his company’s financial management with his father, elder sister and younger brother after the High Court recorded a consent judgment on Tuesday.
Judge Leong Wai Hong recorded the judgment after all parties reached an agreement over an application filed by Zii Jia, 28, on July 2.
The case named LZJ Management, the company owned by the Paris 2024 Olympic men’s singles shuttler, as well as his father, Chee Hin, 59, elder sister Zii Yii, 30, and younger brother Tao, 25, as respondents.
Under the settlement terms, LZJ Management must hold an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on October 31, with the company bearing the cost of organising the meeting.
Meanwhile, Chee Hin, Zii Yii and Tao are prohibited from approving any directors’ fees, allowances or bonuses, except for their monthly salaries from the company.
They are also barred from approving company resolutions involving the appointment or removal of directors, changes to the shareholding structure, or other major decisions affecting control of the company without court approval.
The consent judgment formally records the agreement reached by the parties to resolve the dispute.
