Two Men Arrested For Dangerous “Superman” Motorcycle Stunts During Police Operation

Date:

Two young men were arrested after performing dangerous “Superman” riding stunts during an anti-illegal racing operation early this morning, which led to their detention.

The operation, carried out between midnight and 4.30am along the Kajang–Seremban Highway (LEKAS) and Jalan Rasah, resulted in a total of 50 summonses issued by the Seremban District Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division.

Seremban police chief ACP Azahar Abdul Rahim said the summonses involved various offences, including riding without a valid licence, missing side mirrors, absence of number plates, and illegal exhaust modifications.

He added that 23 motorcycles were inspected during the operation, with five seized under Section 64(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for further action.

In the same operation, two men aged 18 and 21 were arrested after being caught riding recklessly while performing the so-called “Superman” stunt.

Police said the riders were seen lying flat on their motorcycles with their chests close to the handlebars and their legs stretched backwards while travelling at high speed.

The dangerous behaviour was detected at around 1.25am on the LEKAS Highway and was deemed highly risky to both the riders and other road users.

Both suspects, along with their motorcycles—a Yamaha 135LC and a Yamaha Y15ZR—have been remanded at the Seremban 2 Police Station lock-up for investigation under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

A court has granted a two-day remand order starting today to assist investigations.
