Vehicle Fire Leaves Driver with Burn Injuries in Kota Sentosa

A 36-year-old man sustained burn injuries this morning after the multipurpose vehicle (MPV) he was driving caught fire at Lorong Sentosa 2 in Kota Sentosa.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a call about the incident at 8:00am and dispatched personnel from the Kota Sentosa fire station to the scene.

“The operation commander reported that the interior of the vehicle was approximately 30 per cent destroyed, but the fire had already been fully extinguished before firefighters arrived,” the department said in a statement.

The driver suffered burns on several parts of his body and was taken to the Kota Sentosa Health Clinic by Ministry of Health personnel for treatment.

Firefighters conducted thorough checks to ensure there were no remaining flames before concluding the operation at 9:03am.
