Woman Allegedly Molested By Masked Man On Crowded LRT

Date:

A woman was allegedly molested by a man wearing a face mask while riding an LRT train on Thursday night.

City police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the 37-year-old victim was assaulted when the train stopped at the Kerinchi LRT station.

He added that the train was crowded at the time, and the victim was unable to identify the suspect due to his face mask.

“Investigations are being conducted under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or criminal force against a person with the intent to outrage modesty,” he said.

The offence carries a maximum penalty of 10 years’ imprisonment, a fine, whipping, or any combination of these punishments.
