Woman Gang-Raped After Entering Wrong Hotel Room

Shocking sexual assault case reported in Maharashtra, India, after a 30-year-old woman was gang-raped by three intoxicated men after accidentally entering the wrong hotel room.

According to NDTV, the victim, who works at a private hospital, went to a hotel in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar to retrieve money from a friend staying in Room 105. Confused, she mistakenly went to Room 205 on the second floor, thinking it was her friend’s room.

Inside, three men were drinking. Upon seeing her, they forced her into the room, made her drink alcohol, and sexually assaulted her. She managed to escape around 3–4 a.m., running to the nearby police station to report the crime.

Authorities quickly reviewed hotel CCTV footage and arrested all three suspects within three hours. Police confirmed the case is being treated with the utmost seriousness, and legal action will be taken to protect the victim’s rights and public safety.
