UMNO Youth Chief Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh shared details of a meeting between UMNO Youth and PAS Youth on Friday night, describing the gathering as an effort centred on the interests of religion, race and the country.
The Merlimau assemblyman expressed hope that the meeting would bring positive outcomes for all parties involved.
“Alhamdulillah, a meeting was held between UMNO Youth and PAS Youth tonight.
“Hopefully, this meeting will bring good to everyone. This is not about UMNO or PAS. This is about religion, race and the nation,” he said in a Facebook post on Friday.
The post was accompanied by photographs showing leaders from both party wings posing together during the meeting.
One of the images also showed Muhamad Akmal shaking hands with Alor Setar Member of Parliament and PAS Youth Chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden.
However, Muhamad Akmal did not reveal further details about the agenda or matters discussed during the meeting.
The meeting comes amid continued political developments involving cooperation and engagement between parties, with youth wings often playing a role in shaping future political directions.
