Aminuddin Vows To Give ‘200%’ To Secure PH Victory In Negeri Sembilan Polls

Date:

Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has pledged to give his “200 per cent” effort to ensure the coalition retains control of the state government in the upcoming state election.

The pledge came after PH chairman and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed that Aminuddin would remain the coalition’s choice for Menteri Besar should PH win the election.

Aminuddin, who is contesting the Linggi state seat, said the announcement was nothing new, as Anwar had repeatedly named him as the Menteri Besar candidate since the coalition launched its election campaign.

“The Prime Minister has announced several times that I am the Menteri Besar candidate.

“So I need to work not just 100 per cent, but 200 per cent together with the entire team to ensure PH’s victory,” he told a press conference on Thursday.

He said PH’s line-up of candidates possesses the experience and capability needed to continue driving the state’s development agenda if entrusted with another mandate.

“I will ensure that we continue moving forward because our candidates are capable of providing strong competition. With their experience and capabilities, they are able to carry out this responsibility well, God willing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin said PH would not be distracted by political attacks or defamatory allegations during the remainder of the election campaign, choosing instead to focus on presenting its manifesto and policy plans to voters.

He dismissed claims that he was a “DAP puppet”, describing them as baseless accusations without any supporting evidence.

“Those attacks do not affect us. What we are offering the people has already been outlined in our manifesto.

“That is far more important than responding to assumptions and slander being spread by the opposition,” he said.

Aminuddin also expressed confidence that voters would judge the state government based on its performance over the past term and the policies PH is proposing for the future.
