Barisan Nasional (BN) will unveil its manifesto for the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election this Friday, describing it as a comprehensive development blueprint for the state rather than a list of election promises.
Negeri Sembilan UMNO chairman Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias said the manifesto was drafted with the interests of the state’s administration and the needs of people from all walks of life in mind.
The Negeri Sembilan BN deputy chairman said the document focuses on long-term state development and improving the well-being of residents.
According to Jalaluddin, the manifesto will cover key areas including economic development, education, community welfare, employment opportunities, housing, and youth development.
“Our manifesto addresses various aspects of people’s lives, including public welfare, state development, the economy, education, religion, and customs.
“Most importantly, it will also emphasise the stability of governance, the preservation of customs, and the role of the Malay Rulers in Negeri Sembilan,” he said during a campaign walkabout at FELDA Pasoh 1.
Jalaluddin, who is also BN’s candidate for the Pertang state seat, said the manifesto represents the coalition’s overall vision and offer to the people.
He added that details such as funding allocations and financial commitments would be announced through the state budget if BN is given the mandate to govern.
According to him, the manifesto will allow BN to implement its initiatives in a more structured manner based on priorities, ensuring that the promises made can be fulfilled.
On Monday night, Pakatan Harapan (PH) became the first coalition to launch its manifesto for the state election, outlining 10 key commitments under the theme “Kekal Harapan.”
