Iran President Reportedly Meets Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Amid Health Speculation

Date:

Iran’s President has claimed he recently held a lengthy meeting with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, amid continued speculation surrounding the leader’s health and prolonged absence from public view.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said he met Khamenei in a private engagement lasting more than two hours, describing the encounter as a discussion reflecting leadership direction for the country, according to Iranian state media reports.

Pezeshkian praised the Supreme Leader’s “vision” and “humble and sincere approach,” although he did not disclose the location of the meeting or the specific topics discussed.

The Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has not been seen publicly since his reported appointment in March, fuelling ongoing rumours and speculation regarding his health and physical condition.

Unverified reports have circulated suggesting he may have suffered serious injuries in earlier airstrikes, though no independent confirmation has been provided, and Iranian authorities have not publicly addressed the claims in detail.

Officials in Tehran maintain that Khamenei continues to carry out his duties through written statements and remote communications, with state media frequently publishing his remarks and directives.

Sources cited by international media suggest that he has also been involved in high-level decision-making through audio conferencing with senior officials, despite his absence from public appearances.

Meanwhile, the Iranian government has rejected speculation about his condition, insisting that the Supreme Leader remains active and in full control of state affairs.

The situation has continued to draw global attention, with analysts closely watching developments within Iran’s political leadership structure amid conflicting reports and limited transparency.
