MACC Opens Five Operations Centres For Johor State Election Monitoring

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Johor has activated five operations rooms in conjunction with the 16th Johor State Election (PRN) to allow the public to lodge complaints and submit information on alleged corruption and abuse of power throughout the election period.

In a statement, the commission said all operations centres will run around the clock, beginning from nomination day on June 27 until polling day on July 11, 2026. The move is part of efforts to strengthen monitoring and enforcement during the electoral process.

The public can channel information through several designated contact points, including the MACC Johor office in Kompleks Pejabat SPRM Johor, Jalan Persiaran Tanjung, Tampoi via 07-2316000, the operations room hotline at 07-2316170, or a 24-hour line at 011-61349460. Additional contact lines are also available at the Batu Pahat, Kluang, Segamat and Mersing branches.

The Batu Pahat office can be reached at 07-4321982, while the Kluang branch operates from Level 3, Bangunan Persekutuan Kluang, KM 4 Jalan Batu Pahat with contact numbers 07-7714610 and 018-7101040. Meanwhile, the Segamat office at No. 325, Jalan Buluh Kasap can be contacted at 07-9317982. In Mersing, the operations room is based at the Public Works Department building along Jalan Ibrahim and can be reached at 07-7994400. Complaints may also be submitted via email at aduan.prnjohor2026@sprm.gov.my.

The MACC assured that all information received will be handled professionally, transparently and in accordance with existing laws. The commission also reiterated its commitment to ensuring integrity throughout the election process.

At the same time, MACC reminded all candidates and political parties to comply with election laws and avoid any conduct that could violate regulations, including provisions under the MACC Act 2009 and the Election Offences Act 1954 (Amendment 2012).
