Malaysia and Palestine will continue to enhance cooperation in the field of higher education as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic ties between the two nations.
Higher Education Minister Zambry Abd Kadir said the matter was discussed during a courtesy visit by Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia, Jehad Alqedra.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Zambry said both sides exchanged views on ways to further support Palestinian students pursuing their studies, while also exploring new opportunities for collaboration between universities in Malaysia and Palestine.
The discussions focused on expanding academic partnerships and strengthening educational initiatives that could benefit students and institutions from both countries.
“Malaysia has always believed that education serves as a bridge of hope, peace and a better future.
“In that spirit, we will continue to play our part in helping the Palestinian people rebuild the strength of their nation through knowledge and education,” he said.
Malaysia has consistently expressed support for educational development initiatives involving Palestinian students and institutions, viewing education as an important tool for long-term nation-building and empowerment.
