Malaysia Will Deport Any Israeli Nationals Entering The Country, Says PM Anwar

Date:

Malaysia will take immediate action to deport any Israeli nationals found entering the country, reaffirming its longstanding policy of not recognising Israel, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.

He said the government would not compromise on the matter and confirmed that all relevant security agencies are investigating allegations that Israeli nationals were detected in Malaysia.

“We are investigating the claims and will not allow it. If any Israeli nationals are found in the country, they will be deported immediately because Malaysia does not recognise Israel,” he told reporters on Wednesday.

Anwar was responding to reports alleging that Israeli nationals using dual citizenship documents had entered Johor.

He said the investigation is being handled by the relevant authorities and expressed confidence that the ministry responsible would provide further updates once inquiries are completed.

“All enforcement and security agencies are carrying out investigations. I believe Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir will explain the matter further,” he said.

The issue gained attention after the Johor government called on the Home Ministry and related agencies to investigate the operations of the Network School in Forest City over allegations involving Israeli nationals.

Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the individuals were believed to have entered Malaysia using passports issued by another country to participate in the programme, prompting public concern.

Earlier, claims circulating on social media alleged that individuals holding Israeli passports, as well as dual citizenship documents from other countries, had attempted to enter or were already in Malaysia for specific purposes. Authorities are continuing investigations to verify the allegations.
