Male Actor Says He Was Sexually Abused As A Child, Police Confirm Report

Police are investigating allegations that a male actor was subjected to unnatural sexual acts during his childhood.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus confirmed that authorities received a report regarding the matter on Saturday, Jan 31.

According to him, the report was lodged by a 35-year-old man at a police station in the capital at approximately 6.11pm.

“Police can confirm that a report related to an alleged case of unnatural sexual acts was received on Jan 31,” he said in a statement on Sunday, Feb 1, adding that investigations are ongoing.

Earlier, the actor had shared a statement on social media claiming that he was a victim of such acts when he was a child. He alleged that the incidents involved an older individual who held a position of authority and was also related to him.

The actor said he decided to speak out to raise awareness and to help protect other potential victims who may have gone through similar experiences.
