Negeri Sembilan BN ADUNs Urged To Respect UMNO-PH Unity Government Decision

Date:

Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Barisan Nasional (BN) in Negeri Sembilan who had previously withdrawn support for the Menteri Besar have been urged to adhere to the decision reached during the UMNO-Pakatan Harapan leadership consultation meeting held on Tuesday.

UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan said all parties must respect the consensus made at the highest level between Anwar Ibrahim and Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, which reaffirmed continued cooperation under the Unity Government.

He said the political bureau meeting involving both UMNO and Pakatan Harapan leadership had already made a clear decision, and state-level representatives should align with that directive in the interest of stability.

Ahmad expressed confidence that all 14 BN ADUNs in Negeri Sembilan would continue to support the Unity Government, despite earlier expressions of dissatisfaction with the leadership of Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

He stressed that while individual concerns may exist, maintaining political stability in the state must take priority over internal disagreements, adding that institutional matters should be handled through appropriate channels.

Ahmad also reiterated his belief that the BN representatives would ultimately comply with the central leadership’s decision, which emphasises continued cooperation between UMNO and Pakatan Harapan in governing the state.
