The atmosphere at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre was lively early this morning as crowds began arriving as early as 7.30am for the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Convention, which brings together party leaders and members from across the country.
A check at the venue found several buses parked outside the convention centre, transporting delegates and supporters from various states, adding to the growing crowd in the area.
Security personnel were seen deployed to ensure smooth movement of attendees who arrived from early morning, while registration counters were packed with participants as attendance continued to increase ahead of the main programme.
The convention is expected to gather more than 5,000 participants, including leaders and members from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), DAP and Amanah.
The morning programme began with a podcast session involving the youth and women wings of Pakatan Harapan as the opening segment of the event.
According to the schedule, the convention will continue with speeches from PH top leadership, before the highlight of the event featuring an address by PKR president and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In the afternoon, a public rally and grand ceramah are also scheduled to take place at the Puteri Wangsa State Assembly (DUN) area, expected to begin at around 5pm.
