The Pahang state government has recorded revenue collection of more than RM700 million within the first six months of this year, reflecting a strong financial performance for the state.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the achievement places Pahang on track to once again surpass the RM1 billion mark, a milestone it has consistently reached for four consecutive years since 2022.
He said that compared to the same period last year, this year’s revenue performance is noticeably better despite ongoing global economic uncertainty linked to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
According to him, the figure is among the highest ever recorded before the end of June, as previous years typically saw collections of around RM600 million for the same period.
Wan Rosdy added that the increase was driven by improved efficiency among relevant agencies in strengthening revenue collection processes and reducing leakages.
He expressed confidence that the state would be able to achieve another year of revenue exceeding RM1 billion, based on current performance trends.
Pahang has consistently recorded over RM1 billion in annual revenue in recent years, reflecting steady fiscal strength and sustained administrative efficiency.
