Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has denied allegations contained in several viral videos, describing the claims as serious, false and defamatory against her and her family.
The wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said she strongly rejects all accusations circulating on social media platforms including X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.
Rosmah confirmed that she has lodged a police report on Sunday following the seriousness of the claims, adding that she is giving full cooperation to authorities and remains committed to assisting investigations.
She said the report was made to allow authorities to conduct a full and thorough investigation into individuals, parties and accounts responsible for producing and spreading false and malicious content.
Rosmah also called on social media platform operators to take immediate and firm action to remove, block and prevent further circulation of the defamatory material.
She stressed that she reserves all legal rights available to her, including initiating civil and criminal proceedings against any individuals or parties involved in publishing or sharing the allegations.
Rosmah further urged the public and media to act responsibly and avoid amplifying unverified and false content, allowing authorities to carry out investigations without interference.
She also denied any involvement, directly or indirectly, in the purchase, financing, transfer or ownership of luxury properties, including those alleged to be worth US$13 million.
Rosmah said claims linking her to offshore structures, shell companies or any named individuals in the videos are completely baseless and maliciously fabricated.
She described the circulation of the allegations as defamatory, misleading and intended to damage her reputation and that of her family.
The statement was issued without prejudice to her legal rights and remedies, she added.
