Trump Warns Of More Massive Strikes On Iran, Says ‘They Can’t Stop Us’

Date:

US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington is preparing to launch additional military strikes against Iran over the next two days, claiming Tehran has “nothing” capable of preventing the attacks.

Speaking during a radio interview with political commentator and talk show host Hugh Hewitt on Monday, Trump said the United States would intensify its military operations, insisting Iran was in no position to retaliate effectively.

“We’re going to hit them very hard tonight, and we’re going to hit them hard again tomorrow. There’s nothing they can do about it,” Trump said.

The US President went on to dismiss Iran’s military capabilities, claiming the country had little more than strong rhetoric left.

“They have nothing. They have nothing except a lot of talk,” he added.

Trump also suggested that a heavily fortified underground facility known as Pickaxe Mountain could soon become a target, following reports of suspected nuclear-related activity at the site.

“Pickaxe could be the target of a major strike right near its entrance,” Trump said, adding that US intelligence is “watching it very closely” despite currently seeing “no activity” at the facility.

He further claimed that Iran’s nuclear programme was struggling to recover, saying the US had repeatedly destroyed facilities linked to it whenever new activity was detected.

“Their nuclear programme isn’t going very well. Every time we hear about it, we destroy it,” Trump said.

He concluded by indicating that an attack on Pickaxe Mountain could happen in the near future, signalling that the site remains firmly on Washington’s radar as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.
