EPF Raises Hajj Withdrawal Limit to RM10,000 from 2026

Date:

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has announced an increase in the hajj withdrawal limit to RM10,000, effective Jan 1, 2026.

The enhancement is part of a series of policy and product improvements unveiled today, aimed at strengthening retirement adequacy, expanding social protection coverage and improving the overall experience for EPF members.

Among the new initiatives is the introduction of i-Saraan Plus, a voluntary contribution scheme tailored for e-hailing and p-hailing drivers to help them build stronger retirement savings.

In addition, the eligibility age for the i-Suri programme will be extended from 55 to 60, bringing it in line with Malaysia’s minimum retirement age.

The EPF also announced improvements to its withdrawal policy for members with savings exceeding RM1 million. Under the Enhanced Savings level, members below the age of 55 will be given greater flexibility to manage excess funds after meeting their basic retirement needs.
