A man was found dead inside a car at the parking lot of an apartment along Jalan Bukit Beruang in Melaka yesterday evening.
Melaka Tengah police chief ACP Christopher Patit said authorities received an emergency call at 7.05pm, prompting officers and forensic personnel to be dispatched to the scene.
The body of the 39-year-old man was found in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Initial external examinations revealed no signs of suspicious injuries, and there was no damage to the car.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that there were no criminal elements involved,” ACP Christopher said in a statement today.
He added that the deceased was identified as a technician employed by a utility company who had been at the location to carry out routine maintenance checks. The apartment complex was a site he visited regularly as part of his work.
The body was later sent to the Forensic Department at Melaka Hospital for a post-mortem examination, which was conducted this morning.
“The post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as coronary atherosclerosis, or a blockage of the heart arteries. The case has been classified as No Further Action,” he said.
