Former military intelligence director Lieutenant-General (Rtd) Datuk Mohd Razali Alias pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court today to three corruption charges involving cash and flight tickets.
The 60-year-old was accused of receiving a US$20,000 (about RM78,000) bribe between August and November 2024 as an inducement to approve payments for maintenance and support services related to the Cyber Defence Operations Centre (CDOC).
The charge was brought under Section 16(a)(B) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act, which carries a penalty of up to 20 years’ imprisonment and a fine upon conviction.
Mohd Razali also faces two additional charges under Section 165 of the Penal Code for allegedly accepting gratification in the form of return flight tickets for his wife, valued at RM26,800 and RM37,800.
Deputy public prosecutor Law Chin How requested bail of RM200,000, but Judge Suzana Hussin allowed bail at RM50,000 with one surety. The court also ordered Mohd Razali to surrender his passport.
The case has been fixed for mention on March 16.
