33 Selangor FC Fans Remanded After Viral March and Flares

Thirty-three Selangor FC supporters have been remanded to assist police investigations following a commotion at a drawbridge in Kuala Terengganu.

The remand was approved today at the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate’s Court. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. yesterday ahead of the Super League match between Terengganu FC and Selangor FC, held at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Kuala Nerus.

Kuala Terengganu district police chief ACP Azli Mohd Noor said the 33 individuals were among approximately 400 supporters detained the previous night. Those detained were taken to the district police headquarters for urine screening.

ACP Azli added that Terengganu police chief Datuk Mohd Khairi Khairuddin will hold a press conference regarding the case at 2:30 p.m.

Videos of the incident circulated online, showing Selangor FC supporters marching with flags from the city toward the drawbridge and setting off flares.
