Ministry of Works Denies Issuing Fake “Gratuity Payment” Letter

Date:

A letter circulating online, claiming to be from the Ministry of Works about a “gratuity payment” to an individual, has been confirmed as fake by Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

The letter, dated July 28 and bearing the minister’s name and signature, was never issued by the ministry or the minister himself.

“The ministry has never issued any official invitation or correspondence related to such a gratuity payment ceremony,” he stated.

Dato Sri Nanta strongly urged the public not to be misled by the fraudulent document, describing it as an act of impersonation.

The ministry is aware of the situation and is cooperating with the relevant authorities to investigate the matter.

He also advised the public to verify the authenticity of any documents or communications claiming to be from the ministry via its official website at www.kkr.gov.my.

“Transparency and the integrity of our administrative processes remain our highest priorities,” he added.
