Iran Will Not Surrender To US And Israel, Says President Pezeshkian

Date:

Iran will never surrender to pressure from the United States and its key ally Israel as the open conflict in West Asia enters its second week, President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Saturday.

Speaking in a televised address broadcast on local television, Pezeshkian declared that Tehran would remain firm despite increasing military pressure from its adversaries.

“We will not bow to the demands of our enemies,” he said.

Pezeshkian, who is also a member of Iran’s interim leadership council, apologised to Gulf countries that have been affected by the conflict over the past week.

He said Iran had agreed that it would no longer launch attacks against neighbouring countries, adding that they would not be targeted unless they provoked Tehran.

“Tehran has agreed not to carry out further attacks against neighbouring nations. They will not become targets as long as they do not provoke us,” he said.

The escalating conflict has sparked widespread instability across the region, particularly after repeated waves of attacks targeting countries that host United States military bases.

The ongoing strikes have heightened tensions throughout West Asia, raising fears that the conflict could expand further and draw in additional regional players.
