Iran Faces ‘Complete Destruction Within A Single Night’, Trump Warns

Date:

Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, saying the country could face “complete destruction within a single night” if it fails to comply with demands set by Washington amid intensifying military tensions.

Speaking at a briefing at the White House on Monday, Trump said the United States had the capability to launch large-scale strikes that could rapidly cripple Iran’s critical infrastructure within hours. He made the remarks when questioned about the ongoing conflict and the deadline issued to Tehran.

In a broader geopolitical context, tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate, with global observers warning of potential spillover effects on regional stability and international security. The situation remains fluid as diplomatic channels struggle to contain the growing confrontation.

Trump also confirmed that Iran has been given until Tuesday at 8pm Eastern Time to accept a Washington-backed agreement or risk facing what he described as overwhelming military action. He stressed that the US maintains readiness for “decisive and swift” operations if required.

The ultimatum reportedly includes demands for the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime route for global energy shipments, as part of efforts to secure uninterrupted international oil and gas trade. The chokepoint remains a strategic flashpoint amid ongoing tensions.

Further escalating rhetoric, Trump warned that failure to comply could lead to strikes targeting bridges, power plants and energy facilities across Iran, describing such actions as “total devastation.” He maintained, however, that Washington still preferred a diplomatic resolution.

Despite the hardline stance, Trump reiterated that the United States would prefer negotiations over military escalation, while also highlighting a recent high-risk operation involving the recovery of a downed US air force personnel in Iranian territory, which he described as a demonstration of American military capability.

Meanwhile, Iran has reportedly rejected proposals for a temporary ceasefire mediated by international parties, calling them biased and unjust. The decision has raised renewed concerns among global analysts, who warn that prolonged confrontation could further destabilise energy markets and heighten risks to global economic stability.

Military analysts suggest Trump’s remarks are aimed at maximising pressure on Tehran ahead of the deadline, as diplomatic uncertainty continues to grow. The unfolding situation is being closely monitored worldwide, with fears that any miscalculation could significantly widen the conflict.
